I'm looking into planning a trip to the Lake Lure area in mid-June. It seems like the area has made great strides in its recovery from Helene, but that there is still a ways to go.
Realistically, is this summer a good time to visit with two toddlers? As in, will we find fun things to do that don't involve long treks, or traversing sketchy conditions? And if so, is one part of the area better than others?
I apologize for my ignorance of conditions there; it's hard to find up-to-date details that are not marketing one place or another.
Thanks for any info or tips you can provide.
