Large toy store / warehouse?
Catching the Collectible Vibe: NC Community Unites for a Nostalgic Treasure Hunt
There’s a unique thrill in the hunt for vintage treasures, a nostalgic pull that sends collectors far and wide. Recently, our North Carolina Reddit community was called to action by a visitor from South Carolina, on the quest for a particular kind of magic: a sprawling vintage toy and collectible warehouse.
User /u/WhatUpShades dropped into r/NorthCarolina with a vivid memory and a pressing question, capturing the imagination of fellow enthusiasts and setting off a wave of helpful hospitality. Here’s what they shared:
Hi Y’all,
I’m down in SC and had taken a couple trips to NC a few months ago. One was to Charlotte, the other to Concord. On my way back from one of them (not sure which, but probably Charlotte) I saw a couple of billboards for some kind of large vintage toy / collectible warehouse of sorts.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the name of the place may have been? SC doesn’t seem to have what I’m looking for.
For comparison, there’s a place called Time Warp in Long Island, NY. It’s a large multi-vendor setup, much like SC vintage markets. I’m trying to find a place like that down here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
