Well, North Carolina, it looks like Mother Nature truly delivered on her promise of a beautiful winter storm overnight, transforming much of our landscape into a snowy scene.

An overnight snowstorm delivered a significant punch to central North Carolina, with official reports showing nearly three inches of accumulation blanketing Raleigh. For many residents waking up this February 1st, driveways and sidewalks are now covered in a fresh layer of white, marking the first major winter event of the season for the Capital City.

Further west and north in central NC, totals were even more impressive, with some areas reporting up to 10 inches of snow. This widespread winter weather event has impacted travel and prompted school closures, as crews work diligently to clear roads and restore normal operations across the region.
