Good morning, North Carolina.

From the mountains to the coast, the Tar Heel State is digging out, but treacherous road conditions persist after a historic winter storm.

Our lead story this morning takes us to Charlotte, where residents are contending with what’s being described as their largest snowfall in nearly two decades, a situation vividly captured in recent video footage. Word around the Tar Heel State is, including those from CNN, the Queen City experienced its most significant winter event since 2004, blanketing the area in a rare and substantial amount of snow.

While main arteries may be clearing, many secondary streets across Charlotte and surrounding areas remain significantly impacted, covered in dangerous layers of ice and compacted snow. Authorities continue to advise extreme caution, with many routes still impassable and cleanup efforts ongoing, reminding Y’all that while the snow may have stopped falling, the danger on the roads has not.
